The offer

  • Bonus: 75,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points
  • Spend: $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months from account opening
  • Annual fee: $95

See the full card listing: Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Earn rates (per Chase)

  • 5x on Chase Travel
  • 3x on dining; gas stations, EV charging and vacation homes at top brands; top streaming and online grocery (exclusions apply)
  • 2x on other travel, 1x on everything else

The card also includes up to $100 a year in Chase Travel hotel credit and a Global Entry/TSA PreCheck/NEXUS fee credit of up to $120 every four years.

Eligibility

Chase says the card isn't available if you currently have it open, and the bonus may not be available if you previously held it or earned its bonus. Chase also generally declines applicants who opened five or more cards in the last 24 months (the "5/24 rule"). A new card means a hard credit inquiry.

This offer may make sense if you can meet $5,000 in spend in 3 months with purchases you'd make anyway.
