What it's worth
At our floor value of 1 cent per Capital One mile (see point values), 300,000 miles is about $3,000 in travel, before the $1,000 credit and the $300 yearly credit. Transfer partners can push the miles higher.
Who it may make sense for
The catch is the spend. $120,000 in four months is about $30,000 a month, so the top tier only fits businesses with large, regular expenses they can put on a card without paying fees to do it. The first tier ($40,000 in four months, about $10,000 a month) is reachable for more small businesses, and 150,000 miles is a big bonus on its own.
This offer may make sense if your business already spends at that level and you can pay the card in full each month. Interest charges or processing fees would quickly eat into the value. It's a business card, so it typically doesn't add to your Chase 5/24 count (see our 5/24 guide), but the application will still bring a hard credit inquiry.
Weighing the $395 fee? Our guide to sign-up bonus vs. annual fee walks through the math, and the personal Capital One Venture card is a lower-fee option with a smaller bonus.
