Capital One has added Copa Airlines ConnectMiles as a new transfer partner, and it launched with a 30% transfer bonus through Dec 1, 2026 (11:59 PM ET), as reported by Frequent Miler, View from the Wing and AwardWallet on Nov 2.
The numbers
- Standard ratio: 2:1.5. 1,000 Capital One miles become 750 ConnectMiles. Capital One's transfer-partner guide lists Copa with its other 2:1.5 airline partners (Emirates Skywards, EVA Air and Japan Airlines).
- With the 30% bonus: 1,000 Capital One miles become 975 ConnectMiles, just short of 1:1. 10,000 miles become 9,750.
- Minimum: 1,000 miles, in 100-mile increments (as reported).
- Ends: Dec 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (as reported).
Status: as reported. The bonus shows only inside Capital One's logged-in transfer page, so we could not confirm it on a public Capital One or Copa page. The 2:1.5 base ratio is on Capital One's public guide.
How it compares
Even with the bonus, Capital One gives fewer Copa miles than the other two ways in. Per View from the Wing, Rove transfers to Copa at 1:1, and Citi ThankYou transfers at 1:1 from the Strata Elite, Strata Premier, Prestige and AT&T Access More cards (1,000 points to 700 Copa miles from other ThankYou cards). If you hold those currencies, they still win on ratio.
Why Copa miles can be useful
Copa is a Star Alliance airline based in Panama. ConnectMiles can book United and other Star Alliance flights, and the program is known for not adding carrier-imposed surcharges on partners such as Emirates. View from the Wing cites Emirates business class from the U.S. to Dubai at 80,000 miles one way, plus taxes, when award space is available. Availability is the catch.
Before you transfer
- Find the award seat first. Transfers can't be reversed.
- Compare the price with Aeroplan, Avianca LifeMiles and Turkish Miles&Smiles, which take Capital One miles at 1:1.
- Copa miles expire after 24 months without account activity (per AwardWallet), so only move what you plan to use.
This bonus may make sense if your points are mostly Capital One miles and you have a specific Copa or Star Alliance award in mind. Cards that earn Capital One miles include the Capital One Venture and Venture X Business. See every live promo on our transfer bonus tracker.
