Who can get it
You're not eligible if you've had a 360 Performance Savings, 360 Savings, 360 Money Market, Savings Now or Confidence Savings account with Capital One, as a primary or secondary owner, on or after Jan. 1, 2024. Transfers from other Capital One accounts don't count as new money.
What it works out to
Every tier pays 1.5% of the minimum deposit for that tier ($300 on $20,000, $750 on $50,000, $1,500 on $100,000). Your money is tied up for about 105 days (the 15-day funding window plus the 90-day hold), so the bonus alone works out to roughly 5.2% a year if you deposit exactly the tier minimum, before the interest the account pays. Depositing more than a tier minimum without reaching the next tier lowers that figure.
Watch the tier floors: if your balance drops into a lower tier at any point during the 90 days, you get the lower bonus, and below $20,000 you get nothing. Extra deposits made after the funding period don't move you up a tier.
Is it worth it?
If you have $20,000 or more sitting in a low-yield account, this is a simple, no-direct-deposit bonus. Compare it with the other offers on our bank bonuses page, including Schwab's checking bonus for new-to-Schwab money.
