Bank of America is offering new business checking customers a cash bonus of up to $2,500, with no direct deposit required. You earn it by moving new money into the account and keeping it there for about two months. The offer ends Nov 30, 2026.

How the bonus works

  1. Open a new Business Advantage Fundamentals Banking or Business Advantage Relationship Banking account through the offer page by Nov 30, 2026.
  2. Deposit new money within 30 days of opening. "New money" means funds not already held at Bank of America or Merrill.
  3. Keep at least that tier's balance every day from day 31 through day 90.

$5,000$400
$15,000$700
$50,000$1,000
$100,000$1,500
$200,000$2,500

If your balance drops below a tier's minimum during the holding period, Bank of America says you may still get a lower tier. If it drops below $5,000 on any day, you get no bonus. The bank says it will try to pay the bonus within 60 days after you meet the requirements.

Who this may make sense for

The bottom two tiers are where most small businesses will land. $400 for keeping $5,000 parked for about three months is a strong return on idle business cash. The top tiers may make sense if your business has large balances to move and nothing better earning on them.

Things to check before you open

  • You aren't eligible if you've owned or co-owned a Bank of America Business Advantage Banking account in the last 12 months. It's one bonus per business owner, no matter how many businesses you run.
  • Personal and fiduciary accounts don't qualify.
  • The monthly fee is $16 after the first 12 months unless you meet a waiver, such as a $5,000 combined average monthly balance or $500 in monthly business debit card purchases.
  • Bank bonuses are usually taxable income.
