Why it matters

The Global Companion Award covers a companion's ticket on award travel for two on the same itinerary across Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, oneworld and Atmos's other partners. On the Summit card, cardholders also get a 25,000-point Global Companion Award each card anniversary, plus a 100,000-point Global Companion Award after $60,000 or more in purchases in a card anniversary year.

The $6,000 spend requirement is higher than most airline cards, so this offer may make sense if that fits your normal spending over three months and you fly Alaska, Hawaiian or their partners.

Things to know

  • Bank of America limits how many of its cards you can be approved for in a short period, so space out applications.
  • The $395 annual fee is not waived the first year. Compare it with the bonus in our sign-up bonus vs. annual fee guide.
  • Limited-time offers can end without notice. We'll update this post if the terms change.
