U.S. Bank is paying $250 to $450 for opening a new Bank Smartly Checking account and setting up direct deposit.

| $5,000 to $7,999.99 | $350 |
| $8,000 or more | $450 |
- Apply through U.S. Bank's offer page by November 10, 2026, fund the account with at least $25 within 60 days, and enroll in the U.S. Bank Mobile App or online banking within 90 days.
- Only payroll or government benefit deposits made by ACH count as direct deposits; person-to-person payments don't.
- You're not eligible if you have, or had in the last 12 months, a U.S. Bank consumer checking account, or got another U.S. Bank checking bonus in that time. U.S. Bank says the offer may not be available outside its footprint.
- The account has a $12 monthly fee after the first two statement periods unless you meet a waiver, such as $1,500 in monthly direct deposits or a $1,500 average balance. The bonus is paid within 30 days of meeting the terms and reported on Form 1099-INT.
Terms are from U.S. Bank's Smartly Checking offer page, checked Oct 26, 2026. Compare it with other offers on our bank bonuses page.
